Dear Robin, Bailey, Quindell, Rolaysha, Kimber, Tashyana, Aniya, Deasia, and Darius,
Our digital video and moviemaking class is coming to an end in 2 weeks! So much has happened in these last 10 sessions. I hope you have enjoyed learning something new.
Here are 4 questions I would like you to think about and write some comments on:
1. What are 2 things you learned about shooting a video and turning it into a movie?
2. What are 2 things you feel you could do better if you had more time?
3. How has this moviemaking class affected you? Did it help you to learn something about yourself?
4. Are you comfortable using these moviemaking skills you have learned to create a movie on your own now? Why or why not?

Tell us about the movie you want to make

Yay! You're going to make a movie!
Well, here are some things to think about:
1. Your final movie should not be longer than 5 minutes. Yup, no more than that.
2. You work in pairs or trios to create one movie together.
3. What do you work on? You can create a movie to
- teach us or show us how to make something, like bake something, or do a science experiment, or play baseball, or make an art project ...
- tell us a story about someone special, your school, your community
- highlight a concern or issue in your local environment to promote awareness and public action
- share something about your culture - tell us something about your community/ethnic culture that is unique or special so that we can better understand it
Don't wait, start thinking about what you want to make a movie about soon, because you will start planning your movie in the second session.
Want to watch those movie clips again?
Here are some sites to check out that were mentioned in class:
